Lovingly restored 1830s cottage. Perfect in every detail. Spotless. Immaculately furnished. Beautiful space to relax. Lots of different nooks and crannies, indoors and outdoors, to hang out in. Full kitchen. Quiet. Short walk to cafe and shops in Stroud. Lots of greenery and walks around and about. Highly highly recommend.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay. We will definitely come back. The cottage has been restored beautifully, with all touches carefully considered. We fell in love with the bed, very comfortable.
The renovations of the Storekeepers cottage are jaw dropping. The attention to detail... WOW! Each room needs to be explored more than once to truly appreciate the inclusions. We were lucky enough to be the only occupants and, even cooking dinner for ourselves, the experience was decadent.

We recently stayed in the Oak Room, the attention to detail in our room and the facilities in the cottage where first class. It was an absolute pleasure staying in the cottage, very comfortable. It has been beautifully decorated throughout it was a joy discovery all the perfect placements around the cottage of objects connected to the period of the cottage. It is a perfect place to stay for people who appreciate history & how carefully the owners have renovated with such attention to detail to create a wonderful experience of that period in time.Thank you Elizabeth & Alan

What a gem of a property. It's like stepping back in time. The whole property is luxurious. We absolutely loved our stay!
We stayed in the Laman suite and found it to be quite & comfortable. The electric fireplace kept us warm and cozy on the cold winter nights we were there. The room had tea making facilities and a small fridge which was handy. Our hosts couldn't have been more attentive, and the restoration work they have done was second to none. The kitchen is well stocked if you wish to cook for yourself. If not, the location is walking distance to cafes and the pub. Thank you Eamonn and Wendy for a great stay. Hope to return soon.
This was an amazing experience that took us back in time. The Storekeepers Cottage had been painstakingly and skilfully restored close to its original ambience in about 1830. With classical furniture and fittings to match. Yet it also offered all modern comforts.

We were even greeted with some thoughtful treats to kick off our stay, which was a lovely touch. The cottage is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
